1. "Microwave" require: line of sight between towers
2. "LAN" (WiMAX)
3. "Wide-area"(cellphone)
4. "Satellite" (Geosynchronous orbit)
Data Type vs. Transmission Type
Analog Data - Analog Transmission : Radio, TV etc.
Analog Data - Digital Transmission : PCM(Pulse-code modulation)
Digital Data - Analog Transmission : Modem-based communications
Digital Data - Digital Transmission : LAN cable standards
Periodic analog signals
amplitude = how loud the noise is.
frequencies = numbers of wave in 1 second
period = represent the time of one wave
